It’s vital that you train your dog to listen to your commands, this will allow them to come when called and cease to do negative behaviors like excessive barking or scratching. You want your pet to live comfortably with your family and their good behavior and obedience is a very important factor. We work with you to make sure all of this takes place.

The age, size, and breed of your dog is not important. We are skilled in all areas of dog training.

Puppy Training

Everyone loves puppies and we do too. Having a new puppy comes with many new responsibilities that new dog owners may not be used to. Let us help teach you the basics and train your new pup basic obedience commands like how to sit, stay, come, and maybe most importantly how to be potty trained. We are here to help get things started off on the right foot.

Group Dog Training

Group training allows you to introduce your dog to the world. There are many new sounds and smells that makes your furry friends very curious and often disobedient. We will help immerse your dog into new situations in a controlled and comfortable way so that you can take your dog anywhere you go without worry of how they will act in social situations.

Private Dog Training

Private dog training allows us to have one on one time with you and your furry friend. In this type of setting you the owner and your dog are in a private setting where you can ask any questions that you may be afraid to ask in a group setting. This will also allow us to teach you without distraction so that you can learn the techniques necessary to train your dog to do the things that you like as well as not do the things that you do not like.

Our Signature Dog Training Program

In our signature dog training program we address some of the most common behavioral issues.

  • We will train your dog how to not be aggressive. This could include with other animals and/or small children
  • We train your dog obedience and not to jump on guests and/or family members
  • We train your dog to stop barking when desired by you the owner
  • We train your dog to be potty trained
  • We train your dog to be obedient to all of your other house rules. (allowed on furniture/not allowed on furniture etc.)

What To Expect

Multiple dogs and owners

Social Immersion Training

Socialization is the process of preparing your dog or to enjoy interactions and be comfortable with other animals, people, places and activities. This will allow you to take your dog to numerous places that you would not be able to otherwise and still be obedient to your commands.

Dog by toilet

Potty Training

This is one of the biggest requests that we receive. Being able to have a do that is potty trained is a huge hurdle that needs to be overcome in order for your pet to live in harmony with your family. Let us help train your dog or put this simple but important step in dog ownership

Happy Dog

Dog Obedience Training

Although puppies have short attention spans you can expect them to begin to learn simple obedience commands such as “sit,” “down,” and “stay,” as young as 7 to 8 weeks of age. If you have an older dog don’t be afraid to reach out to us. An adult dog is perfectly capable of learning new things. If you believe in the saying that “You can’t teach an old dog new tricks” give us a try and we will prove that saying wrong.

Dog Sitting On Couch

Other Bad Behavior

This could be anything from chewing on furniture to jumping up on you or your guests. All of these other issues can addressed in our group or private training. We can also cover some of these issues in our Social Immersion Training as your dog learns to be obedient and interact in new situations.

Imagine what you can do with a well trained dog....

Traditional fetch is great for the dog but doesn’t do much for the owner. Mix it up a bit. Throw the ball, and then you both run after it. You’ll never win, but you’ll get some great exercise in the process. Get the ball back from your dog and repeat. See who decides to give up first!
Rollerblading isn’t as popular as it once was, but it’s still a great activity to do with your dog. It’s a great way to pick up the pace, which your dog will love, without being too hard on the owner.

Utah is full of great trails that are dog approved. Think of trail running or hiking at higher speed. It’s a great workout for both of you. Some owners have taught their dog to walk on a treadmill, but that doesn’t help the owner get in shape!

Most dogs are naturally excellent swimmers. Swimming is a very healthy, low-impact exercise for you and your dog.

Be sure to keep an eye on your dog. It’s not always easy for them to figure out how to get out of the pool, pond, or stream when they start to tire.

Hiking is also very popular here in Utah. Dogs love to go for walks, but they love to hike even more. The variety of terrain and smells is more interesting to the average dog. The natural surface is much easier on their feet than a concrete sidewalk. Hiking is a great stress reliever for dogs and humans.

There are many great camping spots all over Utah and Dogs love to camp. Camping goes great with swimming and hiking. Try it once with your dog and see how much you both enjoy it. Try it again when your dog is trained and you will wonder why you waited so long.
